What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary ELD Teacher position at Weld County School District Re-8?
- Minimum B. A. in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language Endorsement (must have linguistically diverse or ELD endorsement/emphasis)
- Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teachers' Certificate/License from the Colorado Department of Education in Elementary Ed with English as a Second Language Education or linguistically diverse endorsement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience for elementary school students in English as A Second Language and English/Language Arts.
- Strong background in the teaching of reading and writing and English Language Development.
- Computer and Technology skills preferred.
- Able to work as a team member/experience with grade level ELD teaming and push in or pull out models preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English preferred.
- Coaching available.
- Assignment starting date is TBD
- All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
- Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
- No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.

POSITION: Butler Elementary School; Elementary English Language Development (ELD) Teacher (must have CLDE or Linguistically Diverse Endorsement)
SALARY RANGE:Salary Range of $47,500 - $102,482 this based on 24-25 salary schedule, 25-26 salary schedule will be used for final offer. We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience.
