POSITION : Middle School ELA Teacher
SALARY RANGE : School District Comprehensive Benefits Package. Salary Range of $45,000 - $97,088 this based on 23-24 salary schedule, 24-25 salary schedule will be used for final offer. We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION :
- Minimum B. A. or B. S. in Education with Secondary ELA endorsement / emphasis
- Will consider candidates with an elementary education endorsement if they have 24 semester hours of ELA or can pass the ELA assessment to add that endorsement; for example a B.A. in Elementary Ed with 24 semester hours of ELA would be eligible to be highly qualified as a middle school ELA teacher
- Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teachers' Certificate / License in Secondary ELA Education from Colorado Department of Education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success / experience in middle school ELA.
- Computer and Technology skills preferred.
- Able to work as a team member / experience with Middle School ELA and grade level teaming is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Coaching available.
