POSITION : Special Education Teacher (SSN)
SALARY RANGE : Salary Range of $47,500 - $102,482 this based on 24-25 salary schedule, 25-26 salary schedule will be used for final offer. We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience. All Weld 8 special education staff will be using the SpedTrack IEP system (spedtrack.com) that was ranked as the number 1 IEP program in the United States by Research.com.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION :
- Minimum B. A. in Special Education (Masters preferred; license as SPED Generalist or Mild / Moderate Needs preferred).
- Experience as a middle level Special Education Teacher (Moderate Needs, Severe Needs or SPED Generalist) preferred.
- Hold or be able to obtain a Colorado Teachers' License from Colorado Department of Education.
- Computer and Technology skills preferred.
- Able to work as a team member. Prefer experience with middle school teaming.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Coaching available.
