- Translates district-wide written instructions and other communications as assigned or requested by Bilingual Interpreters .
- Performs clerical duties including composing letters and memos in English and Spanish, record keeping, data entry, copying, collating, stapling, bookbinding, laminating and filing, scheduling meetings both in English and Spanish.
- Functions as a resource person to Bilingual Interpreters or other Administrative staff. Assist with communication between case managers and parents regarding issues that arise on a daily basis
- Bilingual (Spanish) Communication skills are a must.
- Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards, Special Education, and 504 process.
- Prefers a work environment where flexibility, ability to deal with conflict, a high tolerance for stress, an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions, and long hours are a part of the assignment.
- Ability to perform routine secretarial tasks without direction from supervisor. Knowledge of basic and routine office management principles and practices.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and community.
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook or Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficient in District systems including Infinite Visions, Infinite Campus, Frontline, eduClimber
- Proficient in Google Suites - Mail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, etc.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, policies and procedures.
- Flexibility and excellent public relations skills are of utmost importance.
- Proficient in the operation of word processing and other office equipment.
- Proficient in business English, spelling, and office procedures.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks and interruptions.

Salary: $23.60 per hour, part-time not eligible for benefits/Range 24
Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans District 6 rehires, up to $37.84 per hour.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma or GED and/or completion of Spanish courses/classes desired.
Read, write and speak Spanish and English proficiently
Or any other combination of related education, experience and training
Preferred:
Two years of experience in responsible secretarial work utilizing computer systems preferred and interpreting/translating (English/Spanish and viceversa)
Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: Interpreting and Translating instructions and other verbal/written communications and forms into Spanish. Assists, completes and handles tasks as assigned. Communicates and promotes good working relationships between special education teams/directors and the interpreters office as well as among student’s families.
Qualifications: Applicant must have excellent proficiency in Interpreting and Translating English into Spanish, both written and oral; Good communication and organizational skills; Ability to perform all functions of the position; Computer – Word and Excel.
