- Coordinate and document outreach events and programs with schools/departments and refer families to resources such as migrant, homeless, and other state, federal, county, and district programs.
- Work collaboratively with students, parents, and D6/GEAR UP staff to assess student needs, including but not limited to absences, health education, registration, enrollment, assessments, credit attainment, post-secondary goal planning, college visits, industry tours, and other needs in meeting GEAR UP grant objectives.
- Initiate communication with families who have requested information about post-secondary education and resource referrals to appropriate services such as mental health, migrant and homeless programs.
