- Help multilingual students who are having trouble with learning or adjusting to a new culture. Provide support to make their learning experience easier and help them feel more comfortable in their new environment.
- Support the needs of students based upon recommendations from the school’s multilingual learner team and administration
- Collaborate and coordinate with teachers in lesson modification, assignment completion, and classroom instruction
- Help students build on what they’re learning by challenging them with new ideas and skills.
- Keep in touch with classroom teachers about students' progress and assignments. Take part in meetings with parents, counselors, teachers, and students when needed to support each student's growth.
- Participate in team planning for Multilingual Learners
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Facilitate the acculturation process by serving as a link between the culture of the home and the culture of school.
