SUMMARY: Will assist the English Language Development (ELD) teacher in serving students with English acquisition needs throughout the curriculum to assist with the provision of accommodations and support and will work to help provide access to educational materials and content. Assist regular and/or the ELD Teacher in working towards educational goals for students and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment conducive to learning. Reinforce curriculum, activities, and/or skills with a small group of students or one-on-one, and collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and/or to determine appropriate accommodations for individual students. Supervise students in various school locations and activities. Supervise student behavior and safety, and implement discipline and emergency procedures as needed. May assist teachers with clerical and organizational duties.
