Description : Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 1st shift CNC Machining Programmer to join our machining department. The CNC Machining Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and updating CNC programs to manufacture parts with precision. This role involves close collaboration with various departments such as Engineering and Quality, as well as providing technical support to the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD / CAM technology.
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions and configurations for machining.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Establish reference points and machine cutting paths.
- Create and maintain detailed setup and tooling sheets.
- Manage and control tooling lists for all machines.
- Ensure CNC programs are prepared to meet production schedules.
- Write detailed work instructions and cutter lists for machine setup and operation.
- Revise programs to correct any errors or omissions.
- Verify the accuracy of programs by observing initial machine operations.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the shop floor.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
