3rd Shift Material Handler

Position Summary

The 3rd Shift Material Handler is responsible for all material receiving, storage and transport of pipe to various yard locations throughout the facility. The Material handler is a key member of the facility’s Yard and Production Teams and will contribute to the continuous improvement of both personnel and equipment.

Job Duties

Some examples of job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Operate material handling equipment including some heavy equipment
• Load and unload pipe product onto trailers, skid tables, storage locations and racks
• Work with production schedules considering product flow throughout operations
• Package loads for shipping and storage
• Regularly inspect equipment for safety and functionality and report any maintenance concerns
• Perform cycle counts and product inspections
• Ensure accuracy of shipping and receiving documents
• Report on product damage or defects and take action to preserve product
• Participate in daily/weekly maintenance and housekeeping
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Hours Of Work: Sunday - Thursday 10pm to 6am

Physical Demands

Some examples of the physical demands of this job include but are not limited to the following:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Ability to withstand temperature extremes for long periods
• Manual dexterity and frequent use of both hands
• Ability to work outdoors on a constant basis
