Art Director / Lead Sculptor

The commercial Playground Division of Weldit Metalworks Inc: (Playit Creations), is seeking a talented Art Manager to join our team of talented creators and fabricators.

Position Details & Expectations:

- This position will drive the vision of the companies’ products. From structures to sculpting, the Art Manager’s vision will set the stage for the future image of Playit Creations.

- Expected to perform a wide range of tasks across the life cycle of project creation, from Conceptual Sketches, 3D CAD Model Oversight, Fabrication Oversight and Hands-On sculpting and molding.

- Ideal candidate is somebody that has 6-8 years' experience in Sculpture/ Production Design and a strong understanding of taking a product from 2D/3D modeling through Production.

- This is an area of growth in our company and we are open to implementing new technologies and techniques; the candidate must have a strong understanding of concrete sculpting and steel structure fabrication.

- Must be willing and able to speak to multiple customers about projects and design needs with courteous, professional communication if and when the need arises.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Use sound design principles and best-practice design methods while working on projects and creating documentation.

· Efficiently balance several projects at once, being able to pivot when necessary.

· Help to design & develop products that meet cost and timeline needs.

· Utilize existing and consult on new 2D CAD blocks if needed

· Consult in the design of 3D CAD models and renderings

· Be willing and able to pass certification for CPSI Certification.

· Must be able to hold professional conversations with Sales Reps to discuss/communicate project design needs if necessary

· Maintain impeccable records so that all project status reports are up to date with cohesive and clear information.

· Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Fabrication to coordinate existing and new products and understand product designs.

· Able to functionally Project Manage, providing real-time reporting of assigned project progress.

· Verify product design accuracy based upon specifications, codes, and other regulations.

· A general knowledge of basic construction methods and manufacturing is expected.

Requirements:

· Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative software

· Microsoft Office including basic Excel

· Must be organized and detail oriented

· Must always maintain confidentiality.

· Ability to work independently without becoming distracted or wasting time.

· Ability to create compelling designs, document efficiently and with a sense of urgency.

· Ability to work on a PC.

· Proficient problem-solving skills, writing skills, and basic math skills.

Expected to work 40 hours per week.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
