What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at Weldit Metalworks Inc?
We are currently accepting applications for 1-2 open positions for concrete workers and/or finishers. These individuals would be working on Custom Themed playgrounds in our Playit Creations playground division. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be highly motivated, team-oriented employees.
This isn't your typical flatwork concrete job; we have year-round indoor work at 1 convenient location.
Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal candidate is somebody who has worked in the concrete industry before. This person should know the basics of mixing, working with and troweling concrete. What we do is unique work, we are willing to train the right candidate if he/she has the basic knowledge of working with concrete and is a self-motivated hard-working individual.

Weldit Metalworks Inc started as a production welding and fabrication shop. Recently we have expanded our scope beyond welding and fabrication, creating a division to include custom concrete Themed products.

Job Qualifications:
Performs any combination of the following duties on fabrication projects, often transferring from one task to another.
Daily activities include but are not limited to:
Working with and applying metal lath sheeting.
Spread, vibrate, and apply concrete to vertical surfaces.
Handling of 5-gallon buckets full of concrete
Use of power tools such as drills, presses, cement mixers and operating motorized equipment
Standing or walking on narrow work surfaces at considerable heights above the ground
Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
Obeys and follows all safety rules and encourages others to do the same.
Maintains a good relationship with co-workers promoting a healthy, pleasant work environment, and works well with others to accomplish a task.
Consistently positive, can-do attitude!!!
Physical demands of this position include lifting to 100 pounds occasionally; 50-70 pounds frequently along with frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling. Must be able to work outdoors and travel as needed.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Valid driver’s license
Ability to maintain up to a 40-hour work week consistently
Physical ability to lift and exert force frequently
Regular and punctual attendance
concrete mixing experience.
general concrete experience/knowledge.
*Sculpting and/ or art experience
* Concrete stamping experience is a plus
*Leadership Experience
Required education:
High school or equivalent
