Field Operations Manager (Labor Manager)
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Construction Labor Manager to oversee and manage our construction labor team for mechanical projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of labor management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage daily activities of skilled-trade construction workers involved in mechanical projects.
- Coordinate with General Superintendents, Superintendents, and Recruiters, to allocate resources and manpower effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all construction sites.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying issues and implementing solutions to optimize productivity.
- Train, mentor, and supervise skilled-trade workers to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumed.
- Manage budget and expenses related to labor and equipment utilization.
- Collaborate with Shop Foreman to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Construction Labor Manager or similar role in mechanical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications in construction management, plumbing, HVAC or occupational health and safety is a plus.
