Weldon Contractors is a full service, prime mechanical and plumbing contractor and technical service company specializing in the Industrial and Commercial sectors of the construction market. Since 1984, we have been successfully completing HVAC, mechanical metal fabricating, process piping, plumbing, and service work in owner-occupied facilities as well as new construction.
Ideal candidate for this position will be goal-oriented, driven and highly motivated with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete work on plumbing projects.
- Leads a team to meet quality and safety standards on a specific project.
- Ensures proper use of PPE by team.
- Assists other technicians and performs a variety of advanced level work.
- Orders supplies and equipment as needed with approval of the Project Manager.
- Maintain parts, tools, and safety equipment as required on site.
- Communicates direction and feedback from Superintendent, Safety Director and General Contractor to the rest of the team.
- Attends meetings and standdowns as directed by the Superintendent.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following OSHA regulations.
- Reports any incident or accident to his immediate supervisor, assists in stabilizing the issue, and any documentation that needs to be turned in by the supervisor, to the Safety Director and or General Contractor.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, bills of material.
- 4 - 5 years in mechanical construction experience.
- Minimum of 4 years verifiable experience in trade.
- Journeyman license or equivalent based on trade.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to track work progress.
- Pass background check and drug screen.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record.
