POSITION: Dean of Students
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor Degree required in an appropriate area
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Dean of Students supports the principal, staff, students, and parents in maintaining a positive, achievement-oriented school culture and environment where students flourish. The Dean of Students models how to build strong, mutually respectful relationships with students and families and supports teachers to do the same. He or she supports the work of the Principal with a focus on student behavioral expectations and participation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately monitors and follows up on daily student attendance and discipline
- Implements a school-wide Positive Behavioral Support
- Assist in the planning, developing, and implementation of student behavior
- Upholds School Code of
- Confer with the principal appropriate
- Regularly communicate with staff and parents/guardians regarding student
- Supervises school entry, breakfast, lunch, dismissal and transitions to ensure they are orderly and
- Manage the documentation of student behavior through the student management
- Supports teachers in building meaningful relationships with students and
- Participates in leadership team meetings when
- Recognizes problems and impediments and reports them promptly with options for solutions to the principal; promotes and assists with constructive
- Establishes and maintains professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, students, staff, neighbors, and
- Supervise and manage buses at the school level, including activity buses for trips and athletic
- Performs other duties as assigned by School Principal
MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 months
SALARY: Based on related experience and years of experience
EVALUATION: Weldon City Schools Classified Evaluation (Annually or as needed)
