Specific Responsibilities
- Trade Deductions Management:
- Research, validate, and clear trade deductions, including overages, freight, returns, promotions, and other non-promotional deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of trade promotions into ERP system (e.g., Sage X3), maintaining compliance with established business processes.
- Resolve unauthorized deductions and submit disputes within the customer's dispute window.
- Identify trends at the customer level and provide actionable insights to internal teams to improve deduction management processes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Broker Partners, and Customer Service teams to address and resolve discrepancies in deductions.
- Accounts Receivable & Financial Processing:
- Manage cash applications, invoicing, and AR aging to ensure the timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Process credit memos for deductions and accurately maintain customer account balances in ERP systems (e.g., Sage 300).
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for internal teams, highlighting deductions trends and potential areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records and supporting documentation in Telus and other internal systems for audit and compliance purposes.
- Cross Department Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and other departments to identify and implement solutions for recurring deduction issues.
- Monitor customer deduction patterns and communicate trends to upper management and sales teams for strategic decision-making.
- Assist with special projects as needed and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Customer Relationships & Communication:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve deduction-related inquiries and disputes, ensuring customer satisfaction while protecting company interests.
- Alert upper management and Sales of customer trends or recurring issues that may require attention or strategic changes.
- Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on Trade Deductions and Accounts Receivable within the CPG industry.
- Familiarity with major retailers (Amazon, Target, etc.), distributors (UNFI, KeHe, etc.), and trade promotion management systems (Sage 300 a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Skills:
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and interact with customers.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
