Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payableand accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording debits and credits appropriately.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify account balances.
- Support technical accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role in an accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Proficiency in using accounting software is preferred.
- Experience with accounts receivables, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, budgeting, and general ledger accounting is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
