About Our Buyer
Our ideal buyer is a self-motivated individual with a strong background in Purchasing and Supply Chain to be an integral part of the Purchasing department to help us achieve our company goals and objectives. This role is critical in securing dependable suppliers of materials and services, who do so at the lowest cost, highest quality, and with the best delivery times. Our buyers not only establish strong relationships with primary suppliers, but also find a steady stream of reliable secondary suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing for a wide array of supplies and components including but not limited to materials and finished parts for production
- Involved with negotiating supplier agreements and new vendor qualification
- Maintain up-to-date files on purchases and inquiries for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
- These are some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during your workday, but you may be called upon to fulfill other duties as needed

Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field and equivalent experience
- Capable of completing daily tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to quickly adapt to new software programs, including the Welker ERP software

This is a full-time position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Starting salary is within the posted range and determined by experience, education, and potential.
