What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOH Counter Server position at Well-Bred Bakery and Cafe?
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent and accommodating service to our customers at all times. The sales position has a responsibility to the overall satisfaction of our clients, to the cleanliness of the café and to push sales volume for business profitability. We are the face of this bakery.

- Meet and greet all customers when they enter. Communicate our ordering process and offer to provide suggestions and/oranswer any questions.
- Possess strong knowledge of all food products and up-sell additional products to increase sales.
- Ring up sales in the POS system and make a clear record of any discrepancies.
- Ensure the café is clean and organized at all times: clean tables and chairs, sweep floor and pick up any trash, check glass cases and windows for fingerprints or spills, place chairs correctly, clean outside tables and entrance area, etc.
- Give ongoing attention to the cleanliness and presentation of food in our cases. Anticipate food restocking needs and communicate needs to BOH staff.
- Wash hands often: After touching dirty dishes, cleaning tables, etc.
- Attend to shift task lists and daily re-stoking responsibilities.
- Make note of any issues that arise with customers, equipment, supply needs and be sure to communicate these to a member of your FOH management team.
- Clock in for work day: time in/time out. Any additional work hours need to be approved by the FOH Manager.
- Maintain efficient paperwork, using forms and templates provided, to insure that all necessary reports and reporting are provided in time and complete to management.
- Answer phones and deal with call in orders as they occur. Make sure that catering order forms are fully executed with customer name, contact information, date and time of pick-up or delivery, and whether or not the order has been paid for.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.29 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
