About the Role
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Physical Therapist with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of our Clinical Manager and be responsible for assessing, interpreting, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Treatment: Assess patients' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and accurate documentation of patient progress.
- Program Development and Operations: Assist in developing and implementing programs to promote efficient and productive operations within the agency.
- Schedule Management: Maintain and adjust schedules to enhance agency performance and meet the needs of patients.
- Culture and Values: Demonstrate daily commitment to agency values and promote a positive, supportive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program from a reputable university.
- Licensure/Certifications: Licensure in the state providing therapy (NC/SC); CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Technical/Motor Skills: Knowledge of home health and physical therapy procedures; ability to manipulate patient care and evaluation equipment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a professional and positive manner.
- Essential Physical Requirements: Significant locomotion; frequent lifting over 50#; transferring patients over 100#; repeated reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Essential Mental Abilities: Ability to apply physical therapy clinical principles and use professional reasoning to develop treatment programs.
- Essential Sensory Requirements: Ability to see and communicate clearly.
- Hours of Work: 40 hour work weeks; variable Monday-Friday; weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Population Served: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
- Driver's License: Valid North Carolina driver's license and operational vehicle required.
