JOB SUMMARY
Provides individualized patient care for patients in various developmental stages, from 18 to 72 years old, and above. Works under the supervision of a Clinical Manager, following established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

Assesses, interprets, plans, implements, and evaluates patient needs with appropriate skill levels based on age and diagnosis. Admits patients when physical therapy is a primary skilled need.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Education and Licensure
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program, licensure in the state of practice (NC/SC), and CPR certification.
2. Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience.
3. Technical and Motor Skills
Knowledge of home health and physical therapy procedures, ability to manipulate patient care and evaluation equipment, including modalities and assistive devices, and ability to apply manual therapy techniques.
4. Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Ability to interact with the public, co-workers, patients, families, and physicians in a professional manner.
5. Essential Physical Requirements
Requires significant locomotion, frequent lifting over 50 pounds, and transferring patients over 100 pounds. Also requires repeated reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling, as well as occasional reaching overhead, stair climbing, sitting, and fine motor manipulation.
6. Mental Abilities
Ability to apply clinical principles, use professional reasoning, prioritize duties, learn new skills and techniques, and use computer technology.
7. Sensory Requirements
Ability to see and communicate clearly for basic clinical techniques.
8. Exposure to Hazards
Noise, congestion, communicable disease, exposure to blood-borne pathogens, patient assault, injury resulting from improper body mechanics, uncooperative patients, families, and community hazards.
9. Work Schedule
40-hour work weeks, variable Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays as needed.
10. Population Served
Adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
11. Driver's License and Vehicle
Valid North Carolina driver's license and operational vehicle required.
