What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Recruiter I - Sioux City Employment Office position at Well Enterprises - Career Site?
Drives recruitment objectives by sourcing, interviewing, testing and referring applicants for positions throughout the organization. Supports the Talent Acquisition Team to drive tactical recruitment processes.
- Responsible for utilization and maintenance of applicant tracking system, including posting open positions, maintaining status of requisitions and handling candidate flow from point of application to final disposition.
- Attracts talent by building internal and external professional relationships, initiating continuous networking efforts and participating in mass recruiting activities such as career fairs and community events. Participates in external high school recruiting activities.
- Supports hiring managers, leaders and business partners by understanding job qualifications/requirements and overall talent needs. Assists with sourcing, screening, interviewing and referring internal and external talent. Coordinates travel and interview schedules.
- Updates applicant tracking system in real time. Ensures system data integrity to achieve full utilization of tracking system to measure all key Talent Acquisition metrics. Coordinates all pre-employment activities, including updating systems to prepare for upcoming NEO classes.
- Establishes positive relationships with candidates and effectively sells the company as an employer of choice, and assists in closing hires.
- Assists in the weekly internal applications and bids process, per the current labor agreement. Analyzes and recommends continuous improvement efforts to simplify and streamline the talent recruitment and internal bidding process.
- Provides operational support to the Talent Acquisition team to aid in the execution of successful on-boarding and in other aspects of the recruiting process. Includes scheduling of pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Avoids legal challenges by staying current on Employment laws, regulations and compliance. Promotes Affirmative Action goals and initiatives; ensures adherence to OFFCP guidelines, employment verification/I-9 compliance and to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process.
Qualifications:
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related area preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR related field
- Knowledge - Understanding of Employment Law, Federal and State compliance governing the employment process. Knowledgeable of sourcing, technological trends and best practices of talent acquisition.
- Skills - Proficient Microsoft Office skills. Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent customer service skills. Organization, attention to detail, problem-solving and collaborative skills.
- Abilities - Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and achieve objectives by set timelines. Strong ability to promote WEI and the community. Ability to take a proactive role in refining processes and procedures.
