LVN Nurse Manager for Family Medical Office

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least 3 years' experience in the medical field and administration with an LVN degree. Candidate with experience in IV and administration preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who is passionate about functional/integrative medicine with a desire to learn and adapt that also has experience in IV administration. Seeking an LPN/LVN to serve as a full-time nurse assisting with supervising back office staff, assisting our providers, and our IV Department when necessary.

In this specialized position you will be responsible for: managing the daily operations of supervising back office staff, floating to cover when a provider nurse is out, and assisting in the IV department when necessary, within a medical office.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides task-oriented direct patient care with supervision, administering IM injections, taking and charting patient vitals. Works with other staff members and physicians/providers to provide excellent patient care. Documents encounters in medical chart. Must be able to multi-task.

The ideal candidate would have a vested interest in their own health, and how to maintain optimal health. Personal qualities would include: attention to detail, empathetic, excellent communicator, "people" person, able to handle a high level of responsibility, and ability to make strategic decision-making. Outstanding patient care and ability to multi-task are essential. Candidate must have strong organizational and computer skills.

The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Office oversight and delegation of clinical support tasks
• Directing, developing and supervising practice back office staff
• Handling patient complaints with front office manager
• Anticipating and ordering needed supplies
• Organizing and leading regular back office meetings to help the practice improve
• Consistently looking at current processes and procedures and identifying and implementing areas of improvement
• Ability to cover for other positions and various administrative tasks, venipuncture, and injections

Basic administrative responsibilities when needed to cover would include insurance verification, referrals, requesting medical records, collecting payments, as well as other office-related tasks, such as data-entry and typing.

IV Therapy Responsibilities

• Candidate must have proficiency in starting IV's.
• IV Therapy to include mixing, starting, monitoring, and/or discontinue
• Monitor the patient reactions; monitor equipment operations
• Help patients understand documentation and/or paperwork
• Provide patient care and support in a respectful, warm way
• Ensure that supplies, medications and equipment are restocked and maintained; ready for use
• Documenting client visits through the use of electronic medical records

General Requirements

Due to the nature of the position and business we are a Tobacco-free Workplace.

Must be an LVN/LPN with active license

Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist credential a plus

Insurance Verification experience preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 1 year of equivalent work experience in a health related environment or customer service, retail or similar industry

• Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of equivalent work experience in a health related environment or customer service, retail or similar industry.
