About :
Our client seeks an experienced Employment Attorney to join their highly talented San Francisco office. This role focuses on defending clients in single-plaintiff employment litigation (in court and arbitration) and investigating and responding to administrative charges.
The firm provides comprehensive solutions for the legal needs of companies throughout California.
Key Responsibilities :
Internal investigations, legal research, preparing discovery and taking / defending depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients at court conferences, hearings, and trials. While counseling experience is a plus, it is not required.
Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.
Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Qualifications :
3 years of experience in single-plaintiff employment litigation
Comfort with court appearances, depositions, and mediations is essential.
Licensed to practice law in California.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with partners and attorneys to meet client needs.
Member in good standing of the California Bar.
Successful completion of the bar exam.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Ability to meet a billable hour requirement of 1,850 hours annually.
