Heavy Equipment Operator

Description

Sentry Construction is a fast-paced, growing Oil & Gas Company. Based in Midland, TX, with operations primarily across West Texas and NM. Work with key oil & gas companies and become a valuable part of the team assisting with our Sentry Construction Services. We are seeking heavy equipment operators experienced in remediation and construction projects. You will be working out in the field on locations and have the following experience and skills:

Job Description

• Fill out daily JSA
• DVIR inspections
• Equipment inspections
• Excavate area according to blueprint
• Integrity - Acting honestly, ethically, and responsibly in all aspects of our business

• Accountability - Using good judgment and taking responsibility for our actions
• Under direct supervision is learning how to operate Front-End Loader or other heavy equipment
• Conducts daily inspection of equipment
• Follows all safety rules and procedures
• Maintains a safe and clean work area
• Handles special projects, as assigned
• Hours: 12 hours per day
• Will have to travel to all job sites

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, long hours, and holidays
• Good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment
• Ability to perform manual labor outdoors
• Must be able to meet position requirements regarding criminal background, motor vehicle record, and drug screen/physical
• US work Authorization (required)
• Updated resume (required)
• High School Diploma or educational equivalent
• Are you confident you can pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)?
• This does require you to have a VALID drivers license
• What type of heavy equipment can you operate?
• (e.g. skid-steers, front-end loaders, excavators, backhoes, dozer)
• Loader operation: 2 years (Required)
• Skid-Steer operation: 2 years (Required)
• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Willingness to travel

Education

• HS Diploma or GED. Associate or trade school (Preferred).
  
  

Additional Qualifications Highly Considered

• Veterans preferred.
• Current safety certifications are a plus!
  
  

Schedule

• Schedules based on work.
• Day and night shifts.
• Weekend availability
• 12 hour shifts
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds daily.
• Ability to walk in uneven, slippery, and muddy conditions.
• Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 to 12 hours daily.
• Ability to work outdoors in all environmental conditions.
• Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an all-terrain vehicle throughout the day.
• Worker will be subject to other physical activities required, to include climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.
• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions.
