THE ROLE
The Demand Planning and S&OP Director owns all forecasting projections and systems, as well as the Sales and Operational Planning processes. This role reports to the SVP Supply Chain NA for Wella.
The purpose of the role is to ensure S&OP processes are in place and adhered to, therefore delivering the Business Plan with Operational Excellence. They own the E2E S&OP process (Step 1 to 5). This role contributes to the monthly Supply Network Assessment process (SNA), GTM Operating Strategy Process, Health Check and Business Continuity Planning process and has a key commercial connection with the Leadership Team and will work with their PSC Supply Chain counterparts to ensure relevant supply chain choices are brought to leadership discussions for decision making.
In addition to the S&OP process, this role includes the E2E Deman Planning ownership for the Professional Hair, Retail Hair business and Nail business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the E2E Sales & Operational Planning process, driving business alignment with multifunctional partners.

Responsible for the overall demand plan and continuous improvement

Drive clarity between demand plan gap vs channels and financial targets and develop sufficiency reviews.

Manage, coach, and develop the Demand Planning organization.

Drive multifunctional forecast inputs and alignment for reasonability based on experience and market drivers, and influence input to deliver optimal plans.

Standardize meeting drumbeats and enable future planning for an efficient supply chain.

Set the vision across the Demand Planning organization and focus on driving and delivering key results, such as forecasting accuracy and sales plan performance.

Participate into the initiative forecast sizing process

Supports key business transformation including implementation of latest planning tool technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS

12 years of relevant Supply Chain Planning experience

8 years Managerial (Team Leadership) experience

Bachelor’s degree BS Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results among potentially conflicting constituencies.

Proven capability to work in a highly complex business environment and understand the bigger end-to-end supply chain picture.

Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and learn new processes.

Ability to think strategically while also managing process changes and ground-level activities.

Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills.

Solid technical skills in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
