Primary Responsibilities
Quality Control Inspection:
- Perform comprehensive inspections to ensure compliance with established acceptance criteria for defects as per company and relevant industry standards and client specification
- Identify and resolve issues related to inspection equipment, probe selection, or signal interpretation.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection reports and records
- Identify, set aside, or return and document all suspect or defective products.
- Return products for repair; confirm repairs and product quality.
Ultrasonic Testing:
- Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures
- Interpret the ultrasonic signals generated by the phased array probe to identify and characterize defects, including their size, location, and orientation
- Utilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (liquid penetrate, ultrasonic, pulse echo and immersion) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirements
- Set-up and standardize NDT equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results
- Maintain current certifications in phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and staying updated on the latest inspection techniques and standards
- Provide clear reports on testing outcomes, including recommendations for corrective actions if necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of combined NDT and full body UT experience with full documentation of prior training, experience and certification.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, drawings, and diagrams.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication skills within all levels of the organization, which include verbal, written and nonverbal communication.
- Dexterity (must be able to stand, bend, reach and quickly remove products during manufacturing)
- Must have basic math and decision-making skills.
