This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring WIS’s reverse unit equipment operates efficiently and effectively. In addition to operating reverse unit equipment on the rig, the Reverse Unit Operator also oversees crew members, maintains productivity standards, and works closely with internal teams and customer representatives to provide safe, dependable, and quality services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operating and managing the reverse unit, swivel, and other machinery to ensure smooth equipment functioning in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and customer expectations.
- Collaborating with internal sales and operations teams as well as customer representatives to define service expectations and ensure each job meets quality, safety, and dependability standards.
- Applying technical well expertise to advise customers and crews, including tracking pipe tally and drilling depths.
- Maintaining productivity standards by keeping reverse unit operations running smoothly and meeting performance goals.
- Maintaining regular contact and communication with customers and crews to resolve concerns, issues, and complaints
- Maintaining and promoting safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, and compliance with applicable governmental regulations.
- Maintaining assigned equipment according to company processes and standards.
- Timely complete and submit required reports - including incident reports as needed - according to company protocols and standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Three to five years of experience in rig operation or closely related function
- Knowledge and experience in oilfield well servicing
- A valid state issued driver’s license
- Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment as designed
- Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, often with little supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in rig operation or closely related function
- Extensive knowledge and experience in oilfield well servicing
- Knowledge of Fishing Operations is a Plus
