What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Assistant position at Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Research Assistant will work closely with the Research Scientist and members of the Wellbridge team to implement Center for Addiction Science activities. They will be responsible for direct execution of research and science-based care activities on the Wellbridge Campus, focusing on patient tracking and assessment, data management, literature searches and reviews, and assisting with implementation of all research and assessment protocols. The Research Assistant will also work closely with clinical and research teams to assist the Research Scientist in creating a high level of coordination between clinical and research functions. There will likely be opportunities for the Research Assistant to assist with preparing publishing and presenting project findings.
RESPONSIBILITIES Core responsibilities include:
1. Works under the supervision of Research Scientist to execute research and assessment protocols, including data collection, quality control, data management, and progress note writing.
2. With guidance, independently conduct structured literature reviews and summaries on topics as assigned by the Research Scientist.
3. Assist with writing and editing sections of articles to be published to peer-reviewed journals.
4. Aid the Wellbridge scientific team in the execution of the Center for Addiction Science’s mission and activities in a manner that is aligned with Wellbridge’s vision and goals.
Potential responsibilities include:
1. Presentation and writing of scientific findings via independent projects and Wellbridge’s Seminar.
2. Assisting with preparation of grant applications.
3. Community research outreach via in-person and social media techniques.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Psychology or related major (e.g., Neuroscience, Sociology, etc.).
- 2 years of related work/training experience (human research experience in substance use disorders preferred).
- Assessment and interview skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while also exhibiting an ability to work proactively and independently.
- Excellent literature review techniques, writing skills, and attention to detail.
- Empathetic and appropriate interpersonal skills for an inpatient setting.
- Accept supervision and feedback from supervisors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.28 per hour
