Position Summary
The Symitar Assistant Manager serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Symitar Episys core banking platform. This role helps oversee the work of software developers and business analysts to ensure the successful execution of system enhancements, integrations, and ongoing support. Under the direction of IT Leadership, the Symitar Assistant Manager collaborates with internal teams, business units, and third-party vendors to optimize core banking functionalities and align technology solutions with business objectives.

Serve as the primary administrator of the Symitar Episys platform, managing system configurations, upgrades, testing, deployments, and ongoing maintenance.
Act as the main point of contact for Symitar-related matters, including vendor management and support coordination.
Oversee software development tasks performed by the Symitar development team, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and business requirements.
Lead business analysis efforts, gathering requirements, evaluating system capabilities, and supporting the implementation of process improvements.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams to identify and execute core banking platform enhancements and operations.
Manage data governance processes, ensuring data integrity, report delivery, and workflow optimizations.
Oversee and execute automation of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual batch jobs related to the Symitar core system.
Partner with IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Digital Solutions teams to integrate new solutions and optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security policies, and internal IT standards.
Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing related to core system operations.
Assist in creating and reviewing training for IT and business team members on Symitar functionality and best practices.
Document system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines to support ongoing knowledge management.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions, and general operating policies and procedures.
Knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge with financial industry standards for data security and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of financial institution operations, core system integrations, and data structures.
Knowledge of compliance and security best practices related to financial institution technology systems.
Knowledge of automation tools, API integrations, and data governance best practices.
Knowledge of Symitar Episys and Episys-based technologies ( e.g. PowerOn , Symform, PowerFrame , etc )
Knowledge of data structure, logic, and algorithms to accomplish business needs.
Knowledge of database applications (i.e. SQL).
Knowledge of applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React JS, React Native, .NET C#, JAVA, JSON, XML, or similar programming languages.
Skilled in software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices.
Skilled in Symitar Episys core banking system and its programming language, PowerOn.
Skilled in vendor management, including experience working with Jack Henry & Associates and other core system partners.
Ability to operate computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding devices.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, implement enhancements, and optimize workflows.
Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within established timelines.
Ability to use research to resolve issues and escalate issues as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities
Team member does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Complexity & Scope of Work
The team member performs a moderate number of routine and generally related tasks without supervisory direction.
Instructions to the team member may be general or specific in nature.
Courses of action are determined by established procedures and/or the Core Delivery Manager
The team member’s work is reviewed periodically for accuracy, completion, and compliance with the policies and procedures.
Tasks may occasionally have to be coordinated, integrated, and/or prioritized.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Minimum three (3) year of relevant technical experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) year or more of hand-on knowledge of other Symitar-based technologies such as SymXchange, SymConnect, and SymForm etc preferred.
Minimum two (2) years or more of Symitar PowerOn programming experience preferred.
