Position Purpose:
Our Full-Time W-2 Medicare Advisor sales agents specialize in serving our community by helping those that have Medicare coverage to select some of the best providers and benefits in the Medicare Advantage industry. Our agents do not have an assigned territory but rather work in and around the DFW metroplex area. Income based on salary plus commission. 1st year potential over $100,000.
The role of the Medicare Advisor is to help provide greater access to health insurance, by providing education and assistance to Medicare individuals. The agents do this by distributing health education materials, hosting Medicare field events in the community at local food banks, health fairs, community stores and by partnering with health providers. The agents help to facilitate enrollments of individuals who are interested in the Medicare Advantage health plan by conducting those enrollments in person and over the phone. Currently for 2022, our Wellcare agents have 14 Medicare Advantage plans available to help those who are in need.
SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Identify prospective enrollees and determine eligibility for participation in the Advantage Medicare product
- Understand and apply all policies and procedures pertaining to:
- Disclosures and provisions of the Advantage Medicare product
- Help members with Enrollments and disenrollment's
- Develop a presence in the local community to help generate enrollments
- Conduct home visits and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process
- Market Medicare Advantage on-site at senior centers, food pantries, community events and other sites as designated
- Understand the covered benefits, non-covered benefits, exclusions and exemptions
- Assist members in accessing health care, transportation needs and other services or issues as they occur and pertain to members
- Keep informed and adhere to current information pertaining to marketing activity guidelines set forth by various regulatory agencies—this includes providing enrollees with all corresponding materials and documentation
- Keep alert to competitive products and marketing practices, and to keep management informed concerning them
- Conduct and participate in telemarketing/outreach efforts as required
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and special events
- Complete applications in a timely and accurate manner
Education/Experience:
- 1 years of marketing, sales or community relations experience including previous managed care experience, preferably in Medicare.
- License/Certification:
- State Accident and Health Insurance Agent License. Current state driver's license.
