Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. This role is essential in providing nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Dietary Aide will work closely with the culinary team to support meal preparation and service.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure that all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.
- Support cooks in meal preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling dishes.
- Follow dietary menus and special dietary needs for residents as directed by dietitians or supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions related to food service, safety, and hygiene practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or dietary settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is essential.
- Basic culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and other team members.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing duties.

Pay: $16.17 - $16.53 per hour
