Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a healthcare setting. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment while supporting the culinary team in delivering nutritious meals.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food preparation equipment.
- Support the culinary team with food production tasks, including chopping, cooking, and plating meals.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Provide support to residents during meal times, ensuring their dietary needs are met effectively.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to understand individual dietary requirements for assisted living residents or hospital patients.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of dietetics and food handling practices is preferred.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is a plus.
- Previous experience working in assisted living or hospital settings is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and safety protocols.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
