PART TIME NIGHT AUDITOR

Job Summary:
To ensure all revenue is posted to the correct departments and to balance all revenue departments on a daily basis, and complete all necessary reports.
REQUIRED Scheduled Hours - 10PM-6AM or 11PM-7AM
REQUIRED Scheduled Shifts - Tuesday- Saturday
Hire Hourly Rate of Pay $16.00 per hour - $16.00 per hour
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Required to work Overnight hours 10:00pm- 6:00am or 11pm-7am; weekends a must.
- Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.
- Performs all required audit reports.
- Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift; makes cash deposits
- Prepares the front office for the 'A' shift and resets day’s business.
- Acts as the manager on duty during the night time hours.
- Attends and actively participates in all front office meetings.
- Participates in all training and cross training programs.
- Interact with and supervise Security personnel.
- Ensure timely delivery of USA Today papers to guest rooms.
- Ensure breakfast hangers are retrieved from guest room doors.
- Ensure folios are printed out and distributed properly.
- Enforces hotel policies and disruptive guests.
- Ensures guest safety/satisfaction
- Act as responsible liaison in overseeing the gift shop monies collected and inventory
- Performs the following duties as a Guest Service Representative during the night time hours:
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
- Issues room key and escort instructions to Bell person or directly to guest as appropriate.
- Date-stamps, sorts and racks incoming mail and messages.
- Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, fax and switchboard.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions
- Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
- Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests.
- May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests.
- May post charges such as room, food, liquor or telephone by hand or machine.
- May make restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations for guests.
- May deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box.
- May order complimentary flowers or champagne for special guests.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities: - Communication skills ( verbal and written)
- Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
• Communicate well with many different kinds of people.
• Change easily and frequently from one activity to another such as from typing to interacting with guests, to searching for information in a directory, to using a telephone ( multi-task at high volume )
• Use eyes, hands, and fingers accurately while operating a switchboard or computer keyboard. - Ability to solve guest issues in the absence of management
Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Previous hotel night auditor experience required ( a minimum of 1 year consecutively )
Previous hotel front desk experience preferred ( a minimum of 1 year)
Current or Previous accounting experience required ( minimum of 1 year)
