Weller Media is seeking a highly skilled and driven Traditional Media Planner and Buyer to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional media channels—including TV, radio, print, and outdoor advertising—as well as a strong ability to stay ahead of emerging media trends.
As a key liaison with media vendors, you will be responsible for evaluating proposals, negotiating the best possible rates, and providing strategic recommendations to maximize impact. You’ll also ensure that all client deliverables are met by managing day-to-day media planning and execution.

What You’ll Do

- Develop media objectives, strategies, and goals.
- Write, send, and evaluate RFPs, recommending vendor selections.
- Create and present media plans, buys, and performance results.
- Use proprietary research to support recommendations.
- Track leads, conversions, and competitive data.
- Oversee day-to-day account activities and vendor communication.
- Ensure timely media placements and budget adherence.
- Manage media invoices, discrepancies, and post-buy analysis.
- Provide clients with insights, recommendations, and KPI tracking.
What You’ll Need

- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent) with 3 years in traditional media buying or planning.
- Negotiation & Strategy: Strong negotiation skills with a passion for deal-making; ability to analyze data and optimize media buys.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in media buying software and analytics tools, including Nielsen, ComScore, Strata/SBMS, and Kantar.
- Media Expertise: Deep understanding of all media outlets, including linear and streaming media buying, from avail to post-buy analysis.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Organization & Tools: Strong time management skills with experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Dropbox, and task management platforms like Asana.
