- Conducts deep cleaning of floors, walls, and machinery, ensuring thorough attention to often neglected and hard-to-reach areas.
- Uses mops, walk-behind, and ride-on floor scrubbers to clean and maintain floors.
- Operates ladders and scissor lifts to reach and clean elevated or difficult-to-access areas.
- Disposes of trash, scrap, and waste using powered industrial trucks (PIT) or forklifts (Hilo).
- Notifies management of facility issues or repair needs.
- Handles minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Stocks and maintains the supply room with necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Provides support to team members by assisting with heavier workloads when time allows.
- Performs and documents routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Adheres to all health and safety regulations.
- Ensures the work area remains free of obstacles.
- Regular attendance is a key responsibility of the role.
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 1-year minimum janitorial experience.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to be able to communicate effectively.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets.
- Ability to adhere to safety requirements.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to ambulate on and off PIT and hilo.
- Frequent pushing and pulling.
- Frequent squatting.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
- Must be able to lift up-to 35 pounds at times.
