Weller Truck Parts began its history in Muskegon, Michigan in 1928 when Harry Weller, a small body shop owner, found value in recycled parts for the auto industry. The small business thrived so much that in 1949, Harry moved Weller Truck Parts to nearby Grand Rapids, MI. Since that time, Weller Truck Parts has continued to grow under the direction of the Weller family. In 2014, Weller became a member of the Jasper Holding family of companies and a 100% Associate Owned ESOP. Today, Weller continues to grow and out-service the competition by providing an engineered solution for efficient and cost-effective repair, removing the otherwise defunct units and parts from the path to a landfill.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed inspections of salvaged parts to assess their quality and usability.
• Applies and upholds company quality standards across all company processes.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of inspections and findings, providing comprehensive reports of part qualities and quantities.
• Creates and implements strategic plans to effectively manage and reduce company waste, promoting operational efficiency.
• Designs and optimizes workflows for product inspection, ensuring thorough quality control and enhancing overall productivity.
• Collaborates effectively with team members to identify and resolve challenges, fostering a cooperative problem-solving environment.
• Proactively engages with relevant channels to address any identified errors, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Monitors inventory levels and promptly addresses shortages by coordinating and implementing effective solutions with leadership.
• Operates a forklift safely and efficiently to transport parts and supplies as needed, supporting seamless operations.
• Moves inventory electronically using computers and iPads.
• Maintains a high level or professionalism while working under pressure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant heavy duty truck parts experience.
• Microsoft office suite and computer literacy.

• Ability to use computers and iPad technology to maintain parts inventory.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to demonstrate a high degree of organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new product and part types.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills.
• Demonstrates a high attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
• Occasionally pushing and pulling 35 pounds.
• Must be able to get on and off a forklift as needed.
• Must be able to climb up and down ladders as needed.
