Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician for a long-term locum tenens position at a trauma center hospital. This assignment requires working 12 night shifts per month for a full year, starting on May 5th. The schedule consists of 9 PM to 7 AM shifts, working alongside an Advanced Practice Provider.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide emergency medical care in a trauma center setting
- Manage a diverse range of emergency cases, including trauma patients
- Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients
- Coordinate patient transfers to higher-level care facilities when necessary
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure high-quality patient care and safety in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician
- Active South Carolina state medical license
- Experience working in a trauma center setting
- Comfort with night shifts and long-term assignments
- Proficiency in Meditech EHR
