What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Wellington Club?
We are seeking a skilled bartender to serve classic cocktails and house recipes to our members.
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Identify members and their families by face or name
- Welcome members, determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders
- Maintain knowledge of all spirits, wine, beer, and other beverages served
- Help plan drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials
- Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to members
- Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol and follow state laws
- Take inventory and order supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
- Adhere to food safety and quality regulations
- Properly charge members and maintain accurate charges
- Maintain a clean work and dining area
- Develop new cocktail recipes
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required
- Meet state minimum age to serve alcohol
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
- Basic math and computer skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong task and time management abilities
