Job Requirements:

Assumes responsibility and accountability for all hospital air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems and equipment. The HVAC technician performs preventative maintenance and needed repairs or upgrades on all hospital air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems and equipment.  Must be willing to cross-train and assist other areas to meet the needs of the facility. The HVAC technician is directly accountable to the Manager of Plant Operations and is also under the direction of the Administrative Supervisor for a given work shift or time period in the absence of the manager.  May be exposed to various electrical and mechanical construction equipment, inclement weather, fumes, dust, gases and odors in the course of work responsibilities.  Possible exposure to biological hazards. This position will need to take call as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years refrigeration and HVAC experience.

EPA type II CFC certification.
