This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule working at our Westlake Freestanding Emergency Department. This is a hands-on working position on the bench with added Supevisory duties.
This position may qualify for a bonus.

Job Requirements:
Performs and interprets diagnostic procedures in all areas of Clinical Laboratory: chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood banking, and microbiology. Maintains daily quality control charts and preventive maintenance records. Assists/oversees with scheduling, orientation, and troubleshooting of procedures. Supervises all technologists, covers work benches and performs Supervisory duties as assigned by the lab Manager and/or the Lab Director. Responsibility encompasses provision of care of patients 0 to geriatric age. Will be responsible for the successful CLIA/CAP accreditation of this laboratory in cooperation with the WRMC Laboratory Medical Director and the Main Lab Administrative Director. May be asked to attend main laboratory and/or FED management meetings. Will readily cooperate with other areas of the FED as necessary and assist with other duties as deemed necessary by the FED manager.
The Laboratory Section Supervisor is directly accountable to the FED Manager for daily operations and, the Laboratory Manager for all technical and IT operations.

Qualifications
Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP, AMT, or NCA.
Holds a Fla. AHCA Laboratory Supervisor license.
More than six years’ experience as a supervisor in General Lab and specialty areas needed in the FED oversight of the laboratory
