We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role is essential in supporting the overall financial health of our organization and requires a strong understanding of accounting practices and financial concepts.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts receivable.
- Analyze customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Utilize PeopleSoft or similar accounting software for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Conduct credit analysis on new and existing customers to assess risk levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Generate reports on accounts receivable aging, collections, and other relevant metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in accounts receivable processes and accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar accounting software is preferred.
