Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Duties
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to verify the accuracy of payroll-related accounts.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft for payroll processing and reporting.
- Manage accounts receivable functions as they relate to payroll deductions and adjustments.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies regarding payroll practices.
- Generate reports on payroll data for management review, highlighting any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades, including Kronos integration.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial software applications is essential.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and accounts receivable processes.
- Knowledge of Kronos or similar timekeeping systems is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
