QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalency
EXPERIENCE: Certifiable per NAS-410 as an FPI Level 1

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Vision-sight must be good, not color-blind, depth perception, hearing, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, reading, and writing. Physically capable of doing repetitive light to heavy lifting, carrying and moving.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Running the sand blaster
- Degrease castings when required
- Acid etching castings per work instructions provided by Engineering/Quality and guidance from trainers and supervisors
- Maintain logs and Quality records as needed.
- Responsible handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste through the direction of the Environmental and Safety department
- Perform the job under technical direction of a certified FPI Level 2 or 3.
Level I Casting Solution Processor:
- Cannot accept reject parts (Level I)
- Able to provide the necessary guidance and training to Level I trainees (Level 1)
TRAINING:
- Must obtain 130 hours of experience in casting solution processing
- Complete 16 hours of classroom training
CERTIFICATION:
- Successfully pass a general, specific and practical examination
- Must pass a yearly eye exam demonstrating no color discrimination and acceptable visual acuity
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. at waist level and up to 30 lbs. at shoulder level on an occasional basis when moving products
- Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving products
- Generate up to 60 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products
- Generate up to 10 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products
- Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks
- Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products
- Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products
- Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling products
- Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shift
- Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day
