GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Must have good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to multitask and meet production goals and deadlines. Must be team-oriented and have good communication skills. Must have great attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis. Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Some tasks require repetitive activities. Must be willing to cross-train within the classification, to include loading, checking, unloading shipments and freight, and perform office and clerical duties with multiple shipping software. Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required personal protective equipment. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to maintain a clean workstation and clean equipment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Responsible to document all products shipped and received by the company.
- Must have excellent communication skills to communicate with multiple levels of management, multiple departments, delivery drivers, and customers when required.
- Must be able to accurately document all shipments in accordance with the Quality Control documentation and environmental shipping informational procedures.
- Must be able to be trained in Export Compliance and government regulations required by the company.
- Must be able to pack product securely in shipping containers or boxes and pallets to ensure the product is not damaged during shipment and meets the customer expectations on shipping.
- Must be able to read travelers, print shipping labels and shipping documents to ensure the order is shipped properly and timely.
- Must be able to verify incoming deliveries and parts received match the packing list quantities and report discrepancies.
- Must be able to read and verify serial numbers to ensure they match packing slip.
- Must be able to load and unload delivery trucks.
- Must ensure timely and accurate delivery of required materials and supplies to all areas of the facility including Wellman West.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, and other equipment used in the moving of castings and other product throughout the department and facility.
- Must be able to learn computer programs like AS9100, Excel, Outlook, and other programs used in the import and export of goods.
- Must be able to stock warehouse items and ensure that items are properly tracked, filled, and rotated.
- Must be able to perform routine inspections on parts received to ensure that shipping damage has not occurred and report any damages.
- Must be able to process and unpack part numbers that have been returned from outside processing and place on the correct piece of material handling equipment.
