What are the responsibilities and job description for the Film Compliance Supervisor position at Wellman Dynamics Division?
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associates Degree in technical or management field or suitable on the job experience.
EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing adhering to Quality Management Systems and Customer specifications. Quality certification is a plus.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This roll will assure the daily, weekly, monthly adherence of film documentation product flow and storage of same is followed by all production personnel.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Lead a team of Reading Supervisor, Shooting Superior and Quality Film technician.
- Responsible for the strict adherence of keeping x ray film organized and stored by product and serial number.
- Oversee, the review, setting and updating of work standards for managing film that meets Wellman’s and customer specification.
- Wellman currently processes 30,000 plus piece of film per month.
- Retention varies but it is 15 to 20 years required – currently in controlled environment at Wellman West.
- Film is shot on 10 machines and processed 24 hours a day, 5 to 6 days per week.
