Use Your Strengths at Wellmark as a Pharmacy Communications Manager!
About the opportunity : As a Communications Manager on the growing and evolving Pharmacy team, you will help create and curate creative, easy-to-understand member and client messaging and educational content that support and reinforce Wellmark’s vision to Make Health Care Better. You will do this by closely partnering with leaders to strategize, write, design and expertly communicate in a way that educates and engages stakeholders through various media. You will proactively lead project communication and consult across the department to support the delivery of division initiatives and strategies.
About you : You are naturally creative and love the challenge of taking complex information and making it consumable. You are a skilled consultant and self-starter who possesses expertise in creating communication that ‘tells the story’ and enhances education and engagement. You do this by leaning into your data visualization and content-presentation skills. You thrive on building relationships and partnering with various teams to develop comprehensive content and materials. You welcome and seek feedback to assess the effectiveness of communication programs. You are organized and effectively prioritize to complete initiatives timely.
Pharmacy and / or health insurance communications experience is a plus!
This position will work a hybrid schedule of at least 3 days in Wellmark's Des Moines office, with 2 days remote option.

What you will do as a Communications Manager for Pharmacy :
a. Develop and convey Wellmark’s pharmacy strategies and initiatives by creating and writing clear and concise educational and presentation materials and content that convey data and information to key internal and external audiences and also persuade and effectively tell a story.
b. Proactively research and collaborate with pharmacy subject matter experts to develop in-depth knowledge of Wellmark's pharmacy strategies, initiatives, and offerings, using that knowledge to anticipate needs and continually enhance engagement and communication efforts with stakeholders.
c. Partner with Wellmark Marketing and Corporate Communications teams, Network Relations, Health Services, Product, Sales, Member Experience, and other internal stakeholders to develop member, provider and client education and communications strategies and materials.
d. Seek feedback from stakeholders regarding the effectiveness and value of stakeholder education and communications strategies and materials. Use this feedback to implement associated process and system improvements that streamline and enhance training programs and outcomes.
e. Create, edit, curate, and manage the digital content for pharmacy on Wellmark’s websites.
f. Facilitate consultative, ideation, and content structure discussions to develop materials for internal and external stakeholders.
g. Coordinate communications regarding pharmacy benefit changes to ensure a streamlined approach and consistent synchronized messaging between members, providers, and plan sponsor.
h. Consult with marketing and corporate communication peers and cross divisional stakeholders to ensure that messaging is integrated into other segment-specific communication channels and timing is aligned.
i. Provide strategic input into development of marketing campaigns and programs related to Pharmacy.
j. Proofread all copy / content thoroughly and edit material in accordance with Wellmark brand guidelines.
