Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments from the Warehouse by performing the responsibilities listed below.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Sign drivers in and out, complete BOL paperwork, close orders in IFS
- Manage and update real time area for tracking of all shipments as well as dock door assignments
- Sign for deliveries and send out communication to employees for packages or deliver as necessary
- Repackage sample requests
- Create BOL for LTL and FTL shipments and ensure load is booked for shipment
- Plan and complete samples/donation requests in IFS.
- Direct calls, page, take message and relay them accordingly, provide directions to the facility, and provide general information as requested
- Greet all visitors and notify the proper associate of their arrival
- Always follow and maintain GMP standards. Ensure drivers adhere to GMP Policies while on site.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are picked accurately using a printed order slip or scan gun (Packing Slip).
- Plan orders for Material Handlers to pick and load for shipments.
- Plan loads for shipment, strict attention for accuracy.
- Ensure the order is planned in a manner that adheres to being transported with all state and local requirements
- Advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions to assist in providing a safe environment for other workers who walk through the warehouse.
- Complete all required documentation with accuracy.
- Responsible for Continuous Improvement ideas and implementation in assigned area.
- Participate in team functions as required.
- Must maintain warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes.
- Perform cycle counts on finished product by date, to ensure accuracy of FG counts at the warehouse.
- Participate and assist in inventory process, this includes weekly and annual cycle counts.
- Other duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor.
- Participates in mandatory safety trainings and adheres to all safety policies
- Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries
- Complete quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards.? Reports deviations to Supervisor.?
- Responsible for participating in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements.
- Preserve the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual.? Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies.
- Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Flexible, adaptable, commitment to problem solving and identifying solutions
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented, accurate, with excellent communication skills
- Technologically intuitive. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)
- Good communication skills with warehouse personnel and drivers to ensure product flow is seamless.
- Ability to prioritize, plan and organize tasks
- Able to lift 30 pounds regularly
- Ability and willingness to become forklift certified
- 2 years of experience working in an administrative support role preferred
- Previous experience operating a forklift
