We are committed to offering our patients the best care by adding talented healthcare professionals. The Urgent Care Fellowship program is a minimum 9-month continuing specialty rotation that provides enhanced clinical experience in the field of Urgent Care Medicine.
The Fellow will have one-on-one preceptorship with the Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, learn through hands-on care of patients, and receive ongoing lectures guided by the provided didactic curriculum.
The mission of the fellowship program is to provide fellows with comprehensive structure cognitive and clinical education that enables them to become competent, proficient, and professional urgent care providers.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Urgent Care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA's to provide care for patients in our sites.
- Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to outside specialists as required.
- Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of Worker's Compensation injuries.
- Document patient information in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Fellows should demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, computer competence, and an active desire to learn.
