General Description : A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and manufacturing equipment to meet customer demands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, cranes, loaders, and excavators.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot to identify necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain and repair vehicle engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in coordinating parts ordering and inventory management for necessary equipment repairs.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, following all safety and cleanliness guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Respond to emergency repairs as required to minimize operational disruptions.
