The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property. This role involves supervising security officers, enforcing security policies and procedures, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible security presence. The Security Supervisor will act as a point of contact for security-related matters and contribute to a safe and secure environment.

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property. This role involves supervising security officers, enforcing security policies and procedures, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible security presence. The Security Supervisor will act as a point of contact for security-related matters and contribute to a safe and secure environment.
- Build a strong team through effective performance management techniques, coaching, and appropriate feedback.
- Develops emergency procedures, responds to incidents, and resolves problems or requests assistance of local authorities.
- To regularly assess team member knowledge and expertise.
- Follow up of all investigations and propose recommendations or solutions.
- Responds to all kinds of security concerns from company personnel; and develop and maintain positive relations with company personnel.
- Ownership of physical security audit execution and recommendations. Working with Plant Managers to explain and budget for improvements.
- Work with Plant Management on physical measures that should be taken internally to protect our employees and product.
- Owner of emergency plans for the Security Officers for reference material.
- Must be able to work weekdays, hours will vary depending on demand.

- Criminal Justice Degree, Business Degree or other related fields of study.
- 2-5 years’ experience. Computer experience preferred. Military or Police background beneficial.
- Strong verbal and communication skills required.
- Skilled in utilizing building security and lock systems and procedures.
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
- Able to understand and follow safety procedures, specific instructions and procedures and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Able to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Ability to obtain necessary state permits & licenses.
- Reports to: Security/Crisis Management
- Direct Reports: All Le Mars Security Officers, Leads, and Senior Leads
- Indirect Reports: N/A
